Our MOPS group will begin our third year in the fall! This past year we were blessed with 20+ moms and I must admit, we had a great bunch of moms!
A typical MOPS meeting usually starts off with a variety of yummy snacks and refreshments and a chance to chit chat with other moms. After some announcements, one of our mentor moms has an opportunity to share some words of wisdom and a story or two. Next, we have a speaker or special topic which usually applies to our lives as moms in one way or another. After our speaker, we have the opportunity to discuss and learn from each in other in smaller groups. Occasionally we explore our creative side and make a craft or have the chance to "shop" if our speaker brings resources to purchase.
Our group has a registration fee of $60 per semester and a yearly $24 membership fee, which goes to MOPS International. The $60 registration fee helps pay for childcare, speakers, crafts, hospitality, and other behind-the-scenes expenses. There are scholarships available which are kept confidential.
